The Iowa State - Iowa Rivalry began on October 1, 1894, with Iowa State winning 16-8. Today, it is still one of the most highly anticipated football games in the state of Iowa. Jack Trice Stadium was originally built in 1975, and replaced the former Clyde Williams Field that was in use from 1914 through 1974. As of 2019, it has the third-largest stadium capacity in the Big 12 Conference with a record attendance of 61,500.
