This matchup marked the second time since 1970 that the league's top-scoring offense faced the NFL's top-scoring defense. The Seahawks defense dominated the game and ended the evening with a final score of Seattle 43, Denver 8. The Hawks also lay claim to the third youngest quarterback to win a Super Bowl and a head coach that has won both a Super Bowl and a college football national title.
